		<description>All well and good, but I don't think caloric restriction is appropriate or doable for most people. Aside from the self-discipline issue, Americans aren't used to delaying gratification. Add in Madison Avenue everywhere one turns, I just don't see it happening. 
Fasting, on the other hand, is doable IMO.
I fast usually at least twice a year, 25 hours no food nor water. Not easy. Perhaps simpler fast allowing water would be part of a beneficial protocol?  or... what IS a 'fast'?</description>
